Just saw Susie Arbo give a keynote at Missouri's largest annual mental health conference. I was BEYOND impressed! Tons of current research, practical tips, and the most engaging presentation style imaginable. The conference staff even started her 15 minutes late but she adapted SO WELL it was completely unnoticeable. In front of an audience of like 1000 people? Wow. I met Susie Arbo 15 years ago in the horse show world. My first impression of her was “what an incredible person - she was easy to talk to to, engaged in our conversations and always willing to help”. She was the perfect mentor for my young daughter in a very stressful hobby.
When I learned that Susie was taking on the corporate world with her counseling and therapeutic work, I immediately thought of her for Casco; a not-for-profit service organization for adult with disabilities. Our work is stressful but so rewarding and it’s always been my mission to let each and every one of our clients and staff know of their importance. So does Susie!
Casco has been so blessed to have Susie and her staff be a part of our all-day training sessions for many years that tell us about mindfulness, stress relief, bullying and so many other topics that help our staff and clients to be successful. Lately, Casco made a decision to sponsor two of her critters - Warpaint Senior for our corporation and Coco for our Day Hab service. How cool is that?
